This site is located running adjacent to a park and golf course. the other two sides of the site is filled with a large scale construction and a built up residential area. This site analysis will cover all things i believe will influence the site.

Education Site Plan |
This impacts the design as it can invade someone's privacy by having many people crossing through your backyard!
As seen in the site plan to the left the majority of the site is over run by public space. These include; shopping centres, recreation, sport facilities and other shops of general interestThis again promotes the increase of pedestrian activity. The site seems as though it will be dealing with a very highly populated area.
Noise:
This site plan shows the direction and position of noise. the thicker the line the more noise. Noise is located to the eastern side of the site, this is caused from oncoming traffic due to the shops and educational areas close by. The other majority of noise will be built from the main roads and the shopping centre this is of less impact to the site as other developments act as a noise barrier, the main concern of noise is coming from the roadside to the east of the site. some sort of reflecting noise barrier will need to be sorted for this constraint.
The above site analysis plan show certain constraints that effect the potential view suggest the views site plan to the right of this text. It seems at this stage the only certain view that can be addressed are the views from the north, seeing out to the park. This is because the views from the south offer a view of residential house, views to the west offer a construction project going up/ or when completed a high-rise building and views to the east, while acceptable and beautiful I believe the build up of oncoming traffic and street parking would be too much of a distraction to appreciate the beautiful views ahead. Perhaps if you built up a nice view from above would alleviate this problem.
As seen in the 'Noise Site Plan views from north will be taken full advantage of. the only constraint is somehow making this area private as well as open planned for maximum views.

As seen in the image to the left of this text. the window rose chart was taken from the (BOM,26/03/11) website. it shows the majority of the winds flowing into the south of the site. this works perfectly with the idea of opening the area up into a viewing space. as it will improve natural air movement through the site and control a balanced tempreture within the living spaces.
Other Research:
After searching for information on the architects that had built the C House I managed to stumble across this 'Youtube' video were Timothy Hill Talks about his approach to architecture, he states that when design all you have to do is listen and the plans draw themselves. at first i didnt understand this. then he went on by saying that you start a plan with just general aesthetic abstracts built up in your mind from a client, but when a plan is going well then it starts to talk back to you and everything just falls into position. I feel I had a similiar experience, I had just finished my first critque tutorial and my design was not were i wanted it to be i then drew up a site plan and started redesigning the plan with the constraints of the site analysis above. i started with the kitchen then, i got it the plans seemed to talk back to me and everything just seemed to link up as easyly as that. Following is the link to the speach Tim did with TEDx; Timothy Hill - TEDx Speach on Architecture.
Tim also went on to talk about that everyroom or part of a design you make should have its own voice, its oen impacts it gives on a person. he explains that sometimes people design spaces that arent necesary to the design and he consiereds that to be a waiste of space were one or two of these waisted spaces sart to take over the design it becomes 'Noisy' and confused. To me it made sence and seem to boreder on a minimalistic approach in design, Tim also did quote on a ABC Transcript of a television show he was on; " usually a client only brings up or notices the bad things in a design, so a good design is one that is not noticed or 'feels right'". (ABC, The mind of the architect)
Building Deconstruction:
Building Deconstruction:
I believe that I can learn a lot about how Donovan Hill design by deconstructing simple things about the C House.

Typography Site Plan |
I first looked at the different levels of the built house. It is obvious from the image to the write that following the natural typography of the site was a very important factor of the design this is evident in the many levels of the house. I believe that this is a clever tectonic way of defining different areas of the house while keeping it nice and open harnessing as much of the beautiful views and breeze as possible. The different levels also helps to achieve the brief the client wants, creating a noticeable public and family private areas the rises and falls help to split the importance of these areas.

Public Circulation |
As I looked at Public circulation, it seems that most entrances lead into the courtyard I believe this a clever way of keeping the public circulating through the spaces that there suppose to be in. It seems a guest could only stray off that path if invited off the public circulation and into the home. I believe entrance into the courtyard is a nice entrance point it settles you and calms you before throwing you into a different fully closed off section of a home (A good natural transitional period between outside and inside).
Finally I looked at air movement. it seems that the design relies heavily on its big open courtyard to circulated natural breeze through the home as you can see the air has many points of entry and escape as it climbs the building.
